A group that sings a cappella arrangements of hymns and select music from other genres.
Providing an opportunity for younger and older men to share life together, Band of Brothers meets twice monthly during the fall and spring quarters. Through video instruction and small group interaction, we aim to sharpen and stimulate one another to grow as godly men in our personal walk with Jesus, in our family, in our work, and in our ministries.
Partnering with Christian Legal Aid of Los Angeles whose commitment is to share the love of Jesus by cultivating a passion for justice as well as providing free legal services for those in need, our church periodically hosts a legal aid clinic that serves and loves our neighbors in life-changing ways.
Meeting on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, our ministry provides emotional and spiritual support for those who have endured the loss of a loved one through divorce. With biblically-based video resources and supportive small groups, our hope and prayer is that we will experience God’s gracious healing.
With a fond appreciation for the classic hymns of our Christian heritage, the Faith Singers meet weekly on Sunday afternoons to prepare songs they can share with all the worship services throughout the year.

Harmonies in Christ is an ensemble of 2nd-8th graders who want to use their lives and their God-given love for singing to glorify Him and encourage others to worship Him too. They meet Friday nights at 6:15pm (Sept. – June) and perform 6 times a year in Sunday worship services.
Heart to Heart facilitates mentoring relationships among women of all ages to help them grow deeply with each other and Jesus Christ. Along with prayer supporters, these women commit six months to each other, starting with a training/orientation and ending with a group celebration!
Our goal is to share God’s love and hope with displaced and at-risk men, women, and children in our community by collaborating with local Christian homeless shelters, such as Beacon Light Mission (men), Doors of Hope (women), and Community’s Child (women with children).
We serve at Beacon Light Mission and Doors of Hope on the first Sunday and second Saturday evenings of each month. We serve at Community’s Child on a as-needed basis.
Once per year, Bread of Life Church partners with Medical Mission Adventures to host a fully operational health clinic to provide free medical, dental, optical, and pharmacy services to the underserved in our community. This is an opportunity for us to open our church to serve and pray for those in need.
The purposes are: to use orchestral music to glorify God, to enhance the worship experience of others, to foster the enjoyment of music, and to develop friendship and fellowship among its participants. Performing from a repertoire of Christian sacred music or music often used in Christian settings, presentations are typically during the Christmas season and Easter Sunday.
Comprised of musicians of all ages, first-time participants may be asked to audition. Typically two rehearsal sessions are scheduled for each presentation, each up to 2 hours in length.
Formed in November of 2006 after much prayer, our member, Marilyn Long was inspired to start the Prayer Shawl Ministry at Bread of Life Church. Prayer shawls and/or blankets are given because many of our members as well as nonmembers, are in need of the Lord’s comfort, care, encouragement, healing, and hope. The group meets quarterly, 4 times a year, and the members knit or crochet year round.
The Precept class is an in-depth inductive Bible study that uses material published by Precept Ministries. The first hour begins with a discussion of the homework followed by a teaching DVD by Kay Arthur in the second hour. The class meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 7:00 pm-9:15 pm during September through June.
A fellowship for restaurant workers which meets on Tuesdays @ 6:30pm.
On the first Sunday of every month at 2:00pm, we provide a simple worship service for the residents at Sunrise. Following our time of worship, we spend time talking with and praying for the residents.
Bread of Life Toastmasters Club meets to improve public speaking, communication, and leadership skills. In a fun and supportive environment, members are able to practice speeches, gain leadership qualities, and open opportunities for ministry. Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 7:30-9:00pm.
