Dear Bread of Life family,
As we continue to follow the mandates of our county and state to stay home knowing that we’re all safer at home right now, we are so grateful to God for faithfully providing us with his strength, wisdom, and grace. While we all feel concerns related to our own health, family, and future, we hold fast to our sovereign and loving God who promises to protect us with his perfect peace as we trust in him.
We pray that God will use this global pandemic to awaken our own hearts to love and worship him with every single day that he grants us. Let’s also intercede that many in our community and around the world will believe in Jesus as their personal Savior. We are absolutely convinced that God works through all things, including COVID-19, to accomplish his good purposes.
As a spiritual family, we are thankful for God enabling us to bless our surrounding neighborhood through donations to our local hospitals and nursing homes (e.g., personal protective equipment) as well as to help support those in need within our church. Being salt and light in our own respective zip codes, we want to do good to others with the hope that they might be drawn closer to Jesus, the light of the world. If there are some needs or opportunities that come to mind, please contact one of our ministerial staff so that we can consider how to help.
We truly miss you and eagerly look forward to when we will all worship together at our church campus. We hope that the continuation of our ministries through video and virtual means have encouraged you to deepen in your faith in the Lord along with your love for others. As for now, we want to make the most of the opportunities that God has given us with our services being available online. Invite your family and friends, both locally and outside our area, to join one of our worship services (English @ 9:15 am, Cantonese @ 9:15 am, Mandarin @ 11:15 am).
In the meantime, our ministries at the Bread of Life Church campus will remain suspended until further notice. We will keep everyone posted on the projected restart date through our church app and website.
Remember to lift up our nation’s leaders before the throne of God’s grace–that God will supply them with ample wisdom and discernment during this extraordinarily challenging time. Let’s ask God to guide and strengthen all of the medical personnel, health care professionals, and scientists who are doing all that they can to protect and save our lives. Let’s appreciate and bless those who put their own health at risk by working in the stores and restaurants that help sustain our daily needs. And let’s support one another in prayer as leaders and members of our church–praying that we will embrace our Father’s loving care for us, exemplify our Savior’s resurrection hope through us, and experience our Spirit’s comforting presence in us.
Praying that our God of hope will fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him by the power of his Spirit so that you may overflow with hope,
Bread of Life Church Ministerial Staff
