Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. … What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? – Matthew 16:24, 26
For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have. – 2 Corinthians 8: 12
For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man. – 2 Corinthians 8: 21
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. – 2 Corinthians 9: 8
You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. – 2 Corinthians 9: 11
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. – 2 Corinthians 10: 4~5
For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends. – 2 Corinthians 10: 18
I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. – 2 Corinthians 11: 2~3

The wicked are overthrown and are no more, but the house of the righteous stands firm. …Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense. – Proverbs 12:7, 11
The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice. Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult. – Proverbs 12:15~16

Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin. A sluggard’s appetite is never filled, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied. – Proverbs 13:3~4
Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice. – Proverbs 13:10
