於是耶穌對門徒說：若有人要跟從我，就當捨己，背起他的十字架來跟從我。人若賺得全世界，賠上自己的生命，有甚麼益處呢？人還能拿甚麼換生命呢？

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. … What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? – Matthew 16:24, 26

凡以感謝獻上為祭的便是榮耀我；那按正路而行的，我必使他得著我的救恩。

The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!” – Psalm 50: 23

我向你犯罪，惟獨得罪了你；在你眼前行了這惡，以致你責備我的時候顯為公義，判斷我的時候顯為清正。

Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. – Psalm 51: 4

 神啊，求你為我造清潔的心，使我裡面重新有正直（或譯：堅定）的靈。

不要丟棄我，使我離開你的面；不要從我收回你的聖靈。

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right [Or steadfast] spirit within me.  Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. – Psalm 51: 10, 11

（以東人多益來告訴掃羅說：大衛到了亞希米勒家。那時，大衛作這訓誨詩，交與伶長。）勇士啊，你為何以作惡自誇？ 神的慈愛是常存的。

詭詐的舌頭啊，你愛說一切毀滅的話！

To the choirmaster. A Maskil [Probably a musical or liturgical term] of David, when Doeg, the Edomite, came and told Saul, “David has come to the house of Ahimelech.” Why do you boast of evil, O mighty man?
